Shiran fun shoot
Shiran stands in front of the camera, regal, poised and with an expressive gaze. A day at Hatachana or The Station, located in Israel between the cities of Jaffa and Tel Aviv and Shiran is ready to seize the day with her companion. She stands ready as the sun shines brightly and the tracks whisper with history. Shiran’s sentiment is firm and yet soft. At the drop of her hand, the lens shutters and the vanishing points vanish. Faces video
From the early stages in his career, Alon David had a very strong desire to capture a moment. With each flicker of the lens, with each shutter of the frame, these moments are frozen in time and turned into a tangible treasure. These moments, between friends, between family, between lovers or simply with in the individual are all moments that will not be forgotten. However, with these treasures Alon David helps bring forward in form of a photograph, they can be shared, sometimes, in less than 1,000 words and sometimes, in more. ISRAEL
When a moment hits and you realize the world around you holds so much beauty a camera becomes such a valuable possession. This is Israel, through Alon David’s eyes. Simply this is how he sees it. Alon David Photography lets the camera lens reflect what his eyes see in this country where the past and the future come together to create the present. Vendors selling hand made crafts line the streets of ancient buildings while sprawling skylines rest on the coast. From Tel Aviv to Jaffa and in between, this is Israel. Vanishing points and shadows are positioned beautifully to highlight the architecture of the city. Hatachana or The Station is located between Jaffa and Tel Aviv was a new point of exploration for Alon. Here people gathered to browse various art galleries and enjoy the cafes. While in Jaffa the history whispered through alleys and arched corridors and in Tel Aviv growth is glowing with ever-growing skylines that shimmer in the evening. The ocean near by brings a sea breeze to the air and the sun casts brilliance over the sky. Alon David Photography brings all of this to a halt with the camera. Moments like this are easy to miss; moments like this are hard to share. A camera is a valuable tool in the moment. Shaked
First we met beautiful Maya, now we meet her son Shaked as he runs through a nearby eggplant field. Maya watches while her son explores a seemingly endless horizon or green. The bond between a mother and son is truly strong and both Maya and Shaked are who keep this bond strong. His long hair flows in the wind and his knit sweater keeps him warm through the breeze. Maya watches him make leaps and bound through the field and it is apparent he is enjoying the steps he is taking. Alon David Photography captures these glimmers that will never fade. Where vanishing points seem to meet, the fish eye lens inverts the horizon lines and Shaked knows his leaps and bounds will take him everywhere he wants to go.

Roe’s Fun Shoot
In life certain bonds are formed, and certain experiences are shared. The days become imprinted in our minds. Alon David Photography lets the lens imprint the photos. He and his brother Roe go out to wander the familiar city of Tel Aviv Yafo in Israel. Roe currently resides here and works as a Real Estate agent. Roe enjoys this place where vanishing points and horizons of ocean meet a city booming with history and modernism. In Hebrew Tel Aviv Yafo means Spring Hill and here Roe is confidently in his element. From his subtle smiles, his casual glances and his relaxed stroll his comfort level is clear. The camera catches him in a moment of happiness as the sun shines down and the air is filled with the scents of the ocean. Roe takes his surroundings in and at this moment as the camera clicks this day is one that will be imprinted into his memories.

YAD Annual Hanukkah Party & Toy Drive – Latkes and Vodkas!
Last night was a very special evening for the Young Adult Division (YAD) of the Jewish Federation of San Diego County. YAD’s Annual “Latkes and Vodkas” Hanukkah Party and Toy Drive was held on Wednesday, December 8 in downtown La Jolla at Barfly. YAD worked in conjunction with the Young Adult Coalition’s “8 Crazy Nights” to top Hanukkah off on a very high note. Thanks go to Barfly for hosting, The Place for the fantastic latkes and sufganiyot, Alon David Photography for so beautifully covering this event, our DJs Morgan and Jorge, and our co-sponsors CJC In the Mix and the San Diego Jewish Journal. In addition, we would like to say a very special thanks to Rabbi Matthew Earne of Temple Beth Am for joining us in lighting the menorah and saying blessings. Finally, this event would not have been possible without the YAD Social Committee and Executive Board. The city life truly brings excitement for a fast paced living. The photo shoot turned out to be a streamlined expression of people living in the city. On an autumn night in Carlsbad, San Diego people gathered for a wonderful event called Table of 8.Jody Krampfner of Birthright Israel NEXT initiated this first of many partnerships with Rae Gross of Moshe House OC and JewC who co-sponsored this event. It was a fantastic way to meet new people. It was a simple concept that resulted in wonderful new friendships and conversations. The participants filled out a survey and based on that were paired up at a table of 8. Taking place at 13 different restaurants in Carlsbad people conversed sharing stories, insights and laughs. However the new friends ships did not stop with a group of 8 for after dinner everyone met up at Hennessy’s Tavern to make even more lasting friendships. Alon David Photography brought these interactions to film and it was clear some wonderful stuff was happening that night. Everyone got dolled up, and smiles were plenty. This is a night they will all remember, new insights were gained, and new friendships were made.

ALoN DaviD has worked as the lead designer for a large design build contractor, in San Diego, California, for the last 7 years. The need to publish his designs and create an extensive portfolio turned him to working with various photographers. Unsatisfied with the results, he began to take his own photos to capture his work.
It was through this that ALoN discovered the design of photography and his unique talent behind the camera. What had started as a hobby quickly became an obsession of creativity and influence. ALoN enjoys capturing interior and exterior elements and design. However, his true passion lies in the faces he clicks with the camera. In a single instant a moment or an emotion if forever captured and held timeless.
Simply put, it’s just how he sees it.
Krista & Terence Engagement
Love soars among the stars for Krista and Terence. In Balboa Park they stroll, hand and hand, happily along the magnificent architecture. Alon David Photography captures the natural elements as they create a perfect stage. From Washington State and Kentucky these two let their hearts shine on an autumn day in San Diego. It was in this fine city that they met 2 and half years ago at a Jazz Festival and made an instant connection. Whether Krista and Terence are on the courts enjoying one of their favorite past times or playing with their two dogs, the stars shine for them. With the stars shining bright for them late one night in August, Terence proposed during the meteor shower and thus their “cosmic enchantment” grew brighter. They truly have the stars as their map through life, for they both have amazing backgrounds and have a future full of exploration to live, together. Terence is a poet, author, border patrol agent, and licensed marriage and family therapist. Krista is a holistic health practitioner and runs a private practice. Their love for helping others is one of many that bonds them and with their optimistic views they will continue to help and inspire, not only each other, but the world on this road that has now merged into one.

Lacy & Cameron Engagement
Che Bella! The phrase is Italian for “How Beautiful”. Lacy and Cameron let their love shine brighter than the sun in the heart of downtown San Diego. As the have a night out in the Gaslamp Quarter in their Mini Copper, the sun acts like a spotlight for this wonderful couple. Alon David Photography captures their laughter and love beautifully on film. Lacy and Cameron joyfully stroll by the beautiful flower shop Che Bella, stroll through the park at Petco and enjoy a nice dinner at Basic Pizza as this booming city bustles on. The red bricks and the trolleys of this cozy little quarter of downtown San Diego certainly are enough to make anyone feel like they are home. Lacy and Cameron know this city holds a piece of their hearts together, for they know this is home here with each other.

Charu Designs – Fashion Designer
Charu’s designs are playful and yet have a certain sense of sophistication to them. They are as she puts it inspired by dreams. The inspiration comes full circle as she looks at a piece of fabric and lets the dreams and passions take over and develop into a piece of sheer radiance. The fabric becomes her canvas. Every cut and every stitch lets her dreams come into play. She lets the style speak in its own sophisticated way. The fabric radiates with tones of poise, fun, and delicateness. She currently lives in Tel Aviv where she has her own studio and lives her life enjoying her passions for painting, color and design. Hawaii
Relax, unwind and envision yourself on the exotic island of Hawaii. Always a traveler and forever humbled by the beauty of nature, ALoN DaviD takes this five day get-away to Hawaii as a rare opportunity to do some still life photography. There’s nothing that escapes the click of his camera. From dolphins dipping in the sea, shorelines bursting against rough terrain, foliage covered in odd dots, a turtle’s lazy drift in the open ocean, a wave curling over in a perfectly clear barrel and a rainbow stretching its smooth arch out across the dewy sky. Even the rocks, balancing precariously, seem to have been staged for ALoN’s camera. Every scene creates the perfect still shot and the desire to see these places in person.
Skydive San Diego
Skydive San Diego- The wind whips at your face. Tugging and pulling at the unnaturalness of breaking human limits. Only the perfect photo can grab the moment and wordlessly show a non jumper the experience. Making the jump takes much guts and swooping in to landing in high spend takes more. Laying on the ground with lens held to the sky, as the jumper slides as gracefully as a baseball player stealing first, is not an easy task. With the back pressed against the grass the photographer dodges the parachute strings that could easily distort a shot or take a limb.
4th of July 2010
Everyone knows the zing and zip sound, squiggling through the air, spiraling up into the dark sky. There is a split second of silence, just before the Earth shaking BOOM! The tiny firework explodes into a dramatic bouquet of color. Reds, greens, blues, yellows and every color of the rainbow stretch and reach out across the midnight sky. Each firework bragging and boosting their best, striving to out do the last. Families and friends gather to watch to the show. Couples snuggle up on blankets, kids lay in their parents arms and gasp of “oh’s” and “ah’s” are heard everywhere. All the while ALoN David is snap photo after photo, capturing the bright colored burst in film forever.
